In our last article, we discussed the new features in Papa’s Mocharia To Go! In this article, we will cover the stations that appear in the game. Papa’s Mocharia will have four stations: the Order Station, the Brew Station, the Build Station, and the Topping Station. So far, the Flipline blogs have covered the Brew Station, the Build Station, and Topping Station.
After receiving an order, players will tap on the Brew Station to prepare the milk and espresso for the drink. Players begin the process by clicking the white milk carton button that will display all the types of milks that are available. There are two milk options in the game preview: skim milk and strawberry milk. The sample order calls for skim milk.
Preparing a drink requires players to froth the milk. Orders will require either cold milk or hot milk during the frothing process. The sample order calls for 2 shots of hot skim milk. To do this, you’ll simply press and hold the blue pour button until the milk reaches the second line on the glass.
You can begin preparing the expresso while you wait for the milk to finish frothing. To do this, click the expresso button on the brewing machine. This will bring up all the available types of coffee. There are two types of coffee shown in the preview: City Roast and decaf. The options on the expresso button suggest that there will be four types of coffee. As typical with Papa’s Games, players will unlock these additional coffee types as they level up in the game. The sample order requires 2 shots of expresso. You can select up to 3 shots of expresso from the machine.
Once the grounds are prepared, you will need to tamp them down by clicking the green button when the meter arrow is within the green zone. After that, the espresso will slowly brew. Once the milk or espresso is finished simply drag that cup to the green check pad.
Finished milk and espresso go to the build station. You will need to drag the espresso and milk into the two grey holders below the shelf. Once that happens, you will need to choose a cup size. Cup sizes consist of large, medium, and small. The sample order calls for a small cup.
Following the ticket, you start with ingredients listed on the left side. For the sample order it is two shots of hot skim milk. You will carefully align and pour the milk into the cup by pressing down on the blue button. For milk and expresso, the button will have a meter that will slowly raise as your pour. You will want to release the pour button if the meter starts to approach the red zone, signifying that you are pouring too fast. You’ll want to let the meter fall back into the safe green zone before finishing your pour.
Regular ingredients that are not milk or expresso simply require a single tap of the pour button to add it into the drink. The ingredients shown in the preview are skim milk, City Roast, red velvet syrup, sugar plum syrup, chocolate syrup, green tea, and ice.
The Topping Station is where you add the final ingredients to your customers’ drink and craft their cannolis. You will have a choice of creams, shakers, and syrups to add to drinks. When you are finished with your drink, you can click on the cannoli button to bring up the cannoli shells.
You will start by choosing a cannoli shell and lining it up to the platform. The game preview shows three different cannoli shells. Next, you will choose a cream to fill the shell with. Three creams appear in the game preview: whipped cream, butterscotch, and strawberry. Once you are done filling the cannoli shell, you will be able to add additional toppings. When you are done with the cannoli and drink, you’ll be ready to send the order to your customer.
